Description
This tension spring works with the governor on the Robin EX40 to hold the engine at its set running speed as the load comes on and off. The EX40 is fitted to pressure washers, generators, water pumps and larger plate compactors. Over time, governor springs stretch and weaken, causing hunting, surging or an engine that won’t hold speed under load. A spring that’s been stretched or swapped for the wrong one gives the wrong running speed altogether.
Why stock this?
This is a low-cost part that comes up on speed complaints: surging, hunting, a generator giving the wrong output, or a machine that bogs down under load. It’s quick to fit, and checking it should come before anyone touches the carburettor. With one on the shelf, a speed fault can be fixed at the first visit.
