Description
A complete recoil starter for the Robin ER12, the 120cc engine fitted to trench rammers. Recoils on rammers get more abuse than on any other application due to hard cold pulls several times a day by their operators. They fail through worn pawls, a broken return spring or a snapped cord, and replacing the assembly is normally faster than rebuilding one on the bench.
Why stock this
Rammer recoils are one of the few parts where the dealer with stock has an advantage as a rammer that won’t start is off hire that morningt. Demand is steady rather than seasonal, because the failure is mechanical wear rather than anything to do with how the machine has been laid up.
