Description
This fuel filter sits in the Robin EX40 and catches dirt, grit and debris as fuel is poured in. The EX40 is fitted to pressure washers, generators, water pumps and larger plate compactors, which are often refuelled on site from cans that have been in and out of vans and sheds. A split, clogged or missing filter lets that debris through to the carburettor, which is one of the most common reasons an engine starves of fuel, surges or won’t start.

This is a low-cost part that moves steadily. It’s worth checking on every carburettor job: if debris has blocked the jets, the filter has usually split or been taken out and never replaced. Fitting a new strainer with the carburettor repair stops the same fault coming back a month later. Pair it with a fuel cap, a fuel line check and a tank clean-out.
