Description
This deflector fits on the muffler outlet of the Robin EX40 and sends exhaust gas away from the operator and the machine. The EX40 is fitted to pressure washers, generators, water pumps and larger plate compactors, where hot exhaust aimed the wrong way can scorch hoses, panels or the person using the machine. Deflectors usually need replacing because they’ve corroded, cracked or been shaken loose by vibration, or been crushed.
Why stock this?
This part moves occasionally rather than steadily. But a machine with a missing or rusted-through deflector shouldn’t go back out, especially a hire machine used near people. It’s a low-value part, so it’s worth adding to any exhaust order. That way a muffler job doesn’t get delayed for want of the part that goes on the end of it.
