Description
This cap connects the ignition lead to the spark plug on the RobinEX40, and insulates the connection so the spark goes where it should. The EX40 is fitted to pressure washers, generators, water pumps and larger plate compactors, often running in wet, dusty or hot conditions. A cracked, perished or loose cap lets the spark leak away. That shows up as misfiring, hard starting or cutting out, and it’s often worst in the wet, which matters on pressure washers.
Why stock this?
This is a low-cost part that’s quick to fit. A cracked cap causes the same symptoms as a failing ignition coil, so check the cap before condemning the coil. Having caps on the shelf means a misfire fault can be cured on the spot, without ordering parts. Fit a new spark plug at the same time.
