Description
A complete recoil starter for the Robin EH09, the engine fitted to machinery such as trench rammers and tampers. Recoils on rammer engines take more punishment than most as they are started cold several times a day, thrown in and out of vans, and worked in the dirt. They fail through worn pawls, a broken return spring or a snapped cord. Replacing the assembly outright is quicker than rebuilding one.
Why stock this
Rammer engines are workhorses and the recoil is the most abused component on them since every start is a hard pull from a cold engine. It’s a fast turnaround repair that gets a rammer ready to use again same day. The EH09 is long out of production but the machines are still working, so supply is the constraint rather than demand.
