Description
This is the main spring in the Robin governor group, tensioning the governor lever against the speed control so the engine holds its set revs as load comes on and off. It’s a standard service item on Robin engines driving pressure washers, generators, plate compactors and water pumps, and a fatigued spring is a common cause of hunting, surging and revs that won’t settle.
Why stock this
Low value, high nuisance part that decides whether a machine goes back out the same day or sits waiting in the workshop. It turns up on governor faults, carburettor rebuilds and any strip that disturbs the linkage, so it pairs with the governor rod, rod spring and clip.
